Home screen

11/21/2009 in Miscellaneous

I’ve recently been following a blog called First & 20, where the creator of the site posts the home screens of various important technology individuals. I also just figured out how to take a picture of my iPhone screen (hold down sleep/wake and home button simultaneously), so I decided I would do a First & 20-ish post of my own.

First row:
Calendar – Syncs with Google Calendar, so things are the same on my iPhone and iMac.
Things – Keeps track of my to do list, also syncs wirelessly with my iMac, which is nice.
Safari – I don’t use this all that often, actually, but it seems like it should be here.
Google Reader – For keeping up with the news, technology and otherwise.

Second row:
Weather Channel – Excellent, much better than the built-in Weather app.
Simplenote – Best note application by far, syncs to a web app and doesn’t use the Marker Felt font.
Facebook – For getting on Facebook.
Clock – I use my phone as my alarm clock.

Third row:
Doodle Jump – Great game, very addictive.
Foobi – This helps me keep track of how much I eat of each food group, I also really like the interface.
App Store – Self-explanatory.
Settings – Also self-explanatory.

Fourth row:
Camera – I really enjoy taking pictures on my iPhone, usually to post to this blog, so the whole row is set aside for photo apps.
Photos – So I can email pictures to Posterous for the blog.
CameraBag – Has some neat, easy-to-use filters.
TiltShift Generator – Best photo app for the iPhone, lets you blur edges, changes saturation, brightness, and contrast, and apply vignette.

Dock:
Phone – Self-explanatory.
Mail – Self-explanatory.
AIM – So I can talk to Amy.
Tweetie – I’m a little bit addicted to Twitter and check it often (here I am), I also used Twitterrific for a while but like Tweetie 2 better.

So there you go! If you have an iPhone and want to do this too, send me an email and I’ll stick you on my blog.
